so the big clean up has begun. i started in the kid's room. we have made donations to the thrift store and freecycle. you can actually walk in jack's room and he has a place for all his toys. henry has been doing a great job of keeping his room clean, albeit he refuses to make the bed. what else do i expect from a teenager.
now the battle is with the disaster area that is my studio. this fall, it became a dumping ground. i was so busy and just didn't have time to keep up. thank god things have slowed down, no trips to asia for a while. that's a good thing.
.

plus i just have more stuff i know what to do with. and then there is all the costume pieces and the vintage stock that needs to get liquidated. i just don't have room for it all.
so little by little the studio is going to be taken back. i've been tackling it a section at a time. sorting through every thing. getting rid of anything i don't absolutely need.
i'm selling almost every piece of vintage clothing in there. keeping only the really good stuff. i listed a bunch of isis jackets i haven't worn in about two years on ebay. so far they have all sold- there's one left, but there is still more to list after that. it feels great- starting the new year off with some extra cash.... need to pay for all those xmas gifts. plus if i want to take michael demeng's class at absolutely everything....i'm going to need to save up. yes, i'm a typical Aquarius, looking to the future. (that class isn't until June!! lol!!)
to help the clean up, i signed up for an art swap with one of my favorite on-line groups art-e-zine- share your stash swap. i have already put together my contribution. only i wish the requirements was for the bigger USPS flat rate box- instead of the envelope! i could send out a lot MORE.... i hope the lucky person who gets my envelope will be happy. i know i would be, if i got it. (that is if i didn't already have all that stuff already!!)

i decided that i have so much stuff that i am going to put together ephemera packs and try selling them on ebay and etsy. lets see what happens. magical and amazing things are going to happen this year, just wait and see.

Hi! What a cool sounding occupation you have, I'm envious! And I'm thrilled... I spied two "collage" pages out of Somerset Studio in your little pile of ephemera... I made those! How cool is that?!? How fun... love your blog, will stop by again! All my best, K.
