I finally found the print outs I made for the beginning of my new project, "friends of mine." The file folder had been missing for quite some time. I've searched high and low and had completely given up finding it. I was going to print all the sheets out again. Then right after I did the final mix of the CD that I sending along this the books, it appears in my office of all places. I had looked there a hundred times and suddenly, poof! there it was!! As if, by magic. Who knows which one of my friends made that happen. Certainly was NOT Michael, Ted or Patrick. Those cynical realists. For some reason, I love them anyway...But, for some reason, I do feel like the photos were hiding from me and now they are back. ( for whatever reason? I don't know.) Yes, I know, I'm wacked! To quote my son, Jackson (quoting some cartoon): "I'm a loopy nut job!"
Anyway...I want to create a overlay effect with some of the photos and am working on different transfer methods. Other methods I tried, like acetone and gel medium did not work as well as this. I had EXCELLENT results with the citrus based paint stripper. My ventilation wasn't so great. Make sure you open windows if you try this. Samples of Jennifer and Heather are attached. Now that I have the techique down, I've got to find the book pages that I want to use for each person. I'm searching for an illustrated copy of Little House on the Prairie, Dune and The Book of Questions. Not sure what book I will assign to Patrick, our "favorite" in school was Moby Dick. I won't do that to him. I should go to Recycle North to see what I can come up with.
