A Penny Dreadful

So I'm inspired for a new altered book, I've got images floating around in my head, a feeling, and colors. I've been digging for images.

Maybe I've been inspired by the season, Halloween is coming and I started by looking at photos of Edgar Allen Poe and the raven,

then I moved on to reading Frankenstein. Dracula is the next on the book shelf. Over the summer I finished the Historian, which is also about Vampires. I have to say, I've always had an attraction to vampire movies, the Hunger was one of my faves in the 80s. (could have been, the DB or Susan Sarandon or the fact that Bauhaus was in it....)

Not quite sure what the format will be... the book might be set up like a field guide, with clippings and details about the vampire inside, got to think about it more.

That will come.

I should start looking for a book to work in. That always helps....

Then there is the movie version of Sweeney Todd. I saw the preview and I can't wait to see this movie... Tim Burton has such an amazing style when it comes to film making... such a great vision...


I'm sure there are other influences... I won't name them all....

Also, I have not given up on the reunion book. But, somehow the photos that I printed out are MIA. I wanted to sit down and start working up pages, but now I have to print them out again....blah...
